Finalists and winners for the EdTech Awards 2021 have been announced to a worldwide audience of educators, technologists, students, parents, and policymakers interested in building a better future for learners and leaders in the education and workforce sectors, and mySecondTeacher has been named as a Finalist in the highly competitive e-learning, blended, or flipped solution category of the EdTech Cool Tool Awards honour. Other finalists in this category includes Adobe, BlackBoard, Promethean, SMART and Wiley.
Celebrating its 11th year, the US-based EdTech Awards is the largest recognition program in all of education technology, recognizing the biggest names in edtech – and those who soon will be. Featuring edtech’s best and brightest, the annual program shines a spotlight on cool tools, inspiring leaders and innovative trendsetters across the K-12, Higher Education, and Skills and Workforce sectors. This year’s finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including: pedagogical workability, efficacy and results, support, clarity, value and potential.
Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest Victor Rivero who oversees the Awards, said: “Trying times revealed strengths and capabilities of people, and workability of products. Leaders and innovators with their tools and techniques worked hard to keep the learning world connected to knowledge and each other. After a year like no other—to all those innovators, leaders, and trendsetters in K-12, higher ed, and workforce learning staying connected, productive, persistent, and getting us closer despite all challenges: we salute you.”
“mySecondTeacher is founded and run by educators and techies who have a deep passion to help schools transform for the post-covid era. While pedagogy and technology are our forte, we are neither fancy marketers nor super-star sales folks. This recognition from the EdTech Awards not only reaffirms our belief and commitment to our cause, but also makes us much more visible on a marketing and sales front. Ultimately, this means we can help more schools, teachers and students, and we are profoundly grateful for it,” said Dr Benson Soong, founder of mySecondTeacher.
